Plasterboard

Plasterboard: partitions, linings and suspended ceilings

Plasterboard ("placo" in France, "pladur" in Spain) lets you create a room, cover a damaged wall or lower a ceiling without major structural work. We fit the metal frame, the boards and the joint tape.

The most common uses

Plasterboard goes up without heavy masonry and leaves less rubble than a brick partition. The result is a smooth surface, ready for paint or tiling.

  • Creating a bedroom or an office by dividing a large room
  • Lining a wall to straighten it or run cables and pipes behind it
  • Fitting a suspended ceiling, for example to add spotlights
  • Boxing in a pipe, a recess or a built-in unit

How the installation works

The metal tracks and studs are fixed to the floor, ceiling and walls. The boards are screwed onto this frame, then the joints are taped and filled.

A bathroom or utility room calls for boards designed for damp rooms.

Plasterboard and tiling in one request

Plasterboard and tiling are both part of our services: if the new partition needs tiling, one request can cover both.
